As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrols 21+ in Hyattsville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

Pay Rate: $26.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri03:00 PM - 11:30 PMSat11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to established protocols.
  • Interact with employees, visitors, and/or members of the public in a courteous and professional manner while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any hazards or unusual situations promptly.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms in accordance with company policies and state regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
