We're looking for a friendly, driven, and experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Writer to join our high-energy shop in the heart of Pacific Beach. Responsibilities
- Welcome customers with professionalism and genuine care.
- Understand their vehicle concerns and communicate clearly and confidently.
- Write up accurate repair estimates and explain recommendations in easy-to-understand terms.
- Work closely with technicians to ensure all repairs are completed on time and to quality standards.
- Present maintenance and repair options honestly and effectively.
- Maintain organized records and ensure every customer leaves with a great experience.
- Contribute to shop goals by meeting sales and service objectives.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
- Ensure a clean and organized customer area for optimal customer experience.
Skills
- 1+ year of experience as a Service Advisor / Writer (automotive shop or dealership preferred).
- Strong background in auto service management and automotive repair.
- Proficient in explaining services while maintaining excellent customer relations.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes and service writing practices.
- Experience with various automotive systems including transmissions, air brakes, alignment, suspension, shocks & struts.
- Computer skills (POS, management systems and Digital Video Inspection experience a plus)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
- Knowledge of automobile sales can enhance customer interactions.

Schedule
- Full-time position
- Overtime may occasionally be required based on shop needs, with all overtime paid in accordance with California labor laws.

- Compensation: $55,000 – $80,000 per year (based on experience) includes monthly commissions and performance bonuses
