Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesGeneral Description:
The Maintenance Supervisor must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as leadership capability. This role will be responsible for directing the efforts of the Maintenance department.
Key Accountabilities:
⦁ Maintain a work schedule that includes time for personal contact and communication with all shifts.
⦁ Electrical schematics and troubleshoot wiring circuits.
⦁ Capable of troubleshooting hard-wired relay logic machine control panels. This includes field repairs, i.e., replacing existing components and wiring.
⦁ Working knowledge and experience with 24, 115, 277 and 480 Bolt 3 phase electrical systems. This would include electrical distribution systems consisting of buss and switchgear equipment
⦁ Proficient in the use of PLC (programmable logic controllers). This includes troubleshooting, programming and documentation of PLC control programs. Proficiency required with Modican, Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC's.
⦁ Ability to install addition conduit, both flex and hard, to existing equipment and building systems. This would include the correct bending of hard conduit and pulling of wire through the conduit.
⦁ Ability to remove, repair and install pneumatic and hydraulic components to include valves, cylinders, pumps, hoists, and motors.
⦁ Knowledge and experience in the use of wire and stick welders, as well as cutting torches.
⦁ Must be able to operate forklifts-up to 30-ton capacity.
⦁ Rig, move and install equipment within the facility. This would include the capability to lift heavy objects weighing up to 75 lbs. Determine proper pipe sizes, thread pipe and properly install.
⦁ Ability to troubleshoot machine malfunctions to include electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Educational Requirements:
- 2 year degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 5+ years of plant maintenance experience.
- CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Must be willing to work overtime as required on short notice during the week and weekends as scheduled.
- Must be able to travel for training. This would include overnight stays, possibly up to a week at a time.
- MS-Excel and MS-Word. Experience in MS-Access, MS-Project and MS-PowerPoint would be beneficial.
