Civil Project Engineer

Southstar | DCCM has an immediate opening for an experienced Civil Project Manager (Water/Wastewater Project Manager/Designer). The full-time hybrid positions (remote and job site) and require travel to serve our client. Seeking multiple candidates to appropriately divide the territory and limit the amount of travel.

We are seeking a professional engineer with 5+ years of experience in the public market, technical experience in water, wastewater, stormwater, and related experience in public works planning, design, and construction management.

Job Summary:

The Civil Project Manager (Water/Wastewater Project Manager/Designer) will work closely with other engineers, technical specialists, and clients to successfully deliver innovative solutions for our client's challenges. Responsibilities:

• The capacity to oversee design and project management activities across various water infrastructure initiatives is essential. This includes managing projects related to pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks, planning studies, hydrological and hydraulic assessments, as well as rehabilitation efforts
• The ability to utilize internal resources for project execution while expanding a local network is essential. Additionally, having a strong understanding of permitting procedures, technical assessments, and client engagement is crucial for successful project outcomes
• A strong dedication to quality, innovation, and ongoing enhancement characterizes our approach to water infrastructure engineering
• Exhibited strong leadership potential and managerial ambitions aimed at developing a local team and providing guidance to junior staff
• The ability to swiftly understand DCCM's service offerings and effectively promote all services to clients in the region is essential
• The capacity to assemble your own team is essential, particularly with an emphasis on enhancing visibility among clients and business partners in the Southern California region

Requirements, Skills, and Abilities:

• 8+ years of project management, W/WW design and superb attention to detail
• 5+ years' experience with contract negotiation and execution
• Plan and design water and wastewater conveyance and treatment systems
• Identify project opportunities and actively participate in proposal and interview processes
• Develop engineering reports, technical memoranda, and planning studies
• Design pipelines, pump stations and lift stations
• Mentor and guide junior-level staff
• This hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to pursue and win water infrastructure projects in the North Bay10+ years' experience and proficient with applicable software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, BlueBeam, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and other modeling software

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of relevant Civil Engineering professional experience
• Candidates with a California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license will be prioritized
