Job Summary

We seek a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to support individuals in their homes or community settings. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for those with developmental disabilities or other health challenges.

Case 1 involves working with a older male with mild autism in Saint lucie west , Florida. . Hours are 18-22hrs a week, Thursday-Sunday midday 3 to 4 days a week

Case 2 male with cerebral palsy wheelchair bound 27 years old 20-45hrs a week

Duties

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
  • Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
  • Assist clients with mobility and physical tasks, including lifting when necessary.
  • Support clients in their daily routines and help them achieve personal goals related to independence.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop care plans that meet each client's unique needs.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a nursing home setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of home community care practices and principles.
  • Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary requirements.
  • Knowledge of vital sign monitoring techniques is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to lift clients safely as needed while following proper lifting techniques.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
