About the Role We are a growing commercial facility services company seeking a motivated Service & Operations Manager to take the lead at our recently acquired location near Pittsburgh (McDonald, PA). This is a vital leadership position for an experienced professional who wants to transition from a technician or sales role into management. You will be responsible for balancing field oversight, service excellence, and business development to drive local growth.

What You'll Do (The Hybrid Leader Role)

  • Service & Team Oversight: Oversee and coordinate the daily service and repair operations for commercial overhead doors and dock equipment.
  • Business Development: Actively identify and generate new business opportunities, focusing on identifying service upgrades, add-ons, and new long-term contracts.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, building trust and turning service calls into long-term partnerships.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage the relationship between the field crew and the central sales team, ensuring seamless execution, quality control, and timely job completion.
  • Safety and Standards: Ensure all on-site work is completed safely and adheres to industry and company quality standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Industry Experience (Required): Proven experience (manager or senior technician level) in the commercial door and dock industry. Expertise in overhead doors is the most critical requirement.
  • Role Background: Candidates with experience as a Sales/Service Manager, Operations Manager, or General Manager in a related field are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Must be a hands-on problem-solver who is equally comfortable diagnosing equipment in the field and discussing service contracts with customers.
  • Work Style: A self-starter with strong communication skills who is ready to lead a team and foster a supportive, professional environment.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Compensation: Base salary + bonus getting to $110-125K annually in the first year depending on experience.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (No weekends).
  • Location: In-person role based in McDonald, PA Near Pittsburgh).
  • Travel: Willingness to travel (mainly locally for clients) and sometimes outside of state as it comes up. It's about 50% in office, 50% in-person at clients.

Base Pay: $75, $95,000.00 per year
