NOTE: This role is hybrid and requires 3 days a week onsite at our Walnut Creek Office.

The Entry Business & Financial Analyst role supports the business strategy and objectives through data-driven analysis, reporting, and financial planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES / JOB DUTIES

  • Data and Financial Analysis: Perform variance analysis and basic analytical activities using financial statements and business reports.
  • Reporting: Maintain, generate, and review period business and financial reports.
  • Data accuracy: Identify and research data variances and errors in existing reports.
  • Plan and Forecast: Update existing models with historical data and incorporate business partner input on expense, headcount and FTE budgets.
  • Business Partner Support: Answer data and budget questions and explain variance analysis to plan, forecast and prior periods of financial statements and operational metrics.
  • Documentation: Regularly update documentation for procedures and processes.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong mathematical and analytical capacity.
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts or database concepts.
  • Spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) and Presentation (PowerPoint Google Slides).
  • Proficient Business Writing.
  • Basic understanding of relational database structures.
  • Understanding of AGILE practices.

EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience conducting financial and/or business analysis.
We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min: $74, Mid: $93, Max: $112,179.00
