Director of Pharma Accounts

We are seeking a commercially driven Director of Pharma Accounts to lead strategic partnerships with their global pharmaceutical clients and drive the adoption of their genomic sequencing solutions across discovery and clinical programs.

This is a senior, client-facing role where you'll own and grow key pharma relationships, identifying opportunities to integrate their sequencing technologies, data insights, and bioinformatics capabilities into drug discovery, translational research, and clinical development pipelines.

As part of the senior commercial team, you will act as a trusted partner to pharma executives — translating complex scientific and operational goals into collaborative programs that deliver measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account strategies for major pharmaceutical clients, driving revenue growth and long-term partnership value.
  • Identify and secure opportunities to apply sequencing and multi-omic solutions to pharma R&D workflows (target discovery, biomarker identification, companion diagnostics, and clinical trial stratification).
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contracting for sequencing collaborations, research partnerships, and data access programs.
  • Build senior-level relationships across R&D, translational medicine, and precision medicine functions.
  • Partner closely with internal scientific, operations, and project management teams to ensure delivery excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at key industry conferences, advisory meetings, and partner reviews.
  • Stay ahead of market trends in genomics, NGS, and pharma R&D to guide strategic decision-making.

About You

  • 8+ years' experience in strategic account management, business development, or commercial leadership within genomics, sequencing, or life science technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of pharma R&D workflows, including biomarker development, precision medicine, or companion diagnostics.
  • Deep scientific literacy in next-generation sequencing (NGS), molecular biology, or bioinformatics.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex, high-value partnerships with global pharma or biotech clients.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic mindset with an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach.
