We take pride in our commitment to accuracy, transparency, and outstanding client service. We're seeking a Property Management Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience handling accounting functions specific to property management, including association accounting, budgeting, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for assigned properties or associations.
  • Record and reconcile all bank accounts, deposits, and disbursements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries as needed.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and audit preparation.
  • Communicate with property managers, board members, and external auditors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP accounting standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in property management accounting or a related field.
  • Proficiency with property management accounting software (e.g., VMS, TOPS, AppFolio, Yardi, CINC, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and general ledger systems.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively.
