Scoot is inviting applications to join us as an HR Compliance & Support Specialist. This is an integral position within our organization; a result of our ongoing growth and increasing headcount. Reporting to our People and Growth Director, and part of the Human Resources (HR) team, you'll be responsible for supporting our multistate regions with all things HR, educator management, and compliance. This role is critical in ensuring we are only working with the best educators and supporting our purpose of placing the right teacher in the right classroom. Collaborating with various teams across the organization, our business couldn't operate without these vital players.

The responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR, education consultants, finance and leadership teams.
  • Lives our BE GREAT values and positively influences other team members to do the same.
  • Final compliance check and activation of educators
  • Supports local teams and educators with all HR needs (I9's, payroll questions, ADP assistance, etc.)
  • Checking and clearing of criminal background checks
  • Completes vendor certifications and client notification letters for schools
  • Handles various Employment Development Department (EDD) claims
  • Responds to any and all enquiries from our educators
  • General office operations

Must have:

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with a proven ability to meet and complete multiple deadlines and tasks
  • Strong organization skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Initiative: A problem-solving mentality that likes to take on any challenge
  • Team-first approach that others trust, and can rely upon

Nice to have:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Background working within education
  • Experience in HR or customer service roles
