Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager and Electrical Salesman is a dual role responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, including inventory management & logistics as needed, while primarily driving sales of electrical products to clients. This position requires a blend of organizational skills, leadership, and sales acumen to ensure seamless warehouse functionality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Management

  • Inventory Control
    : Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of electrical products, ensuring accurate inventory records and optimal stock levels.
  • Logistics Coordination
    : Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Facility Maintenance
    : Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, complying with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Process Optimization
    : Implement and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operational costs.

Electrical Sales

  • Customer Engagement
    : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including contractors, electricians, and businesses, to drive sales of electrical products.
  • Product Expertise
    : Provide technical knowledge and recommendations on electrical supplies, such as wiring, lighting, circuit breakers, and other components.
  • Sales Targets
    : Achieve and exceed sales goals through proactive outreach, cold calling, and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Order Processing
    : Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Market Awareness
    : Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and new electrical products to provide competitive solutions to clients.

Qualifications

  • Education
    : High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience
    :
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse management or logistics.
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the electrical supply industry.
  • Skills
    :
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical products and their applications.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP systems).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications
    : Forklift certification and OSHA training are a plus.
  • Physical Requirements
    : Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.

Working Conditions

  • Location
    : On-site at our warehouse facility with occasional off-site client visits.
  • Hours
    : Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Environment
    : Combination of warehouse and office settings, with exposure to varying temperatures and physical activity.
