Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to oversee operations during the evening shifts at our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with a focus on ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and leading a team effectively. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a passion for the hospitality industry, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations during night shifts to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Manage inventory control and ensure proper stock levels are maintained for food and beverage supplies.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate reporting of daily sales using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise during service to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial management to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food production and quality control.
  • Conduct interviews for new staff members and participate in the hiring process as needed.
  • Implement training programs for new employees focusing on food handling, culinary skills, and hospitality practices.

Experience

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or similar roles within the food industry.
  • Strong background in quick service & fast food restaurant operations is preferred; casual dining or fine dining experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability in staff training, team management, and shift management.
  • Familiarity with kitchen management practices including cooking techniques, food production, catering, and bar operations.
  • Experience with budgeting, inventory control, and leadership within a hospitality setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing the guest experience.
