In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing food preparation and cash handling tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with experience in quick service and fast food environments. Your ability to upsell menu items and ensure customer satisfaction will play a crucial role in our café's success.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
  • Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety standards.
  • Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to sanitation practices.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about menu items and making recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, kitchen, and food preparation stations.
  • Assist with bussing tables and restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while meeting sales goals through effective upselling techniques.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred, with a focus on food service and cashiering roles.
  • Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus.
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling practices.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven sales skills, including upselling techniques that enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations within the food industry is essential.
