Warm and Calm Nanny Needed for Infant in Manoa

This Manoa-based family is seeking a kind, calm, and experienced nanny to care for their 7-month-old daughter while Mom works from home three days a week.

With both parents working full-time they're excited to welcome a loving caregiver into their team who brings professional experience, gentleness, and strong communication.

Their daughter is a sweet-natured baby entering a curious, active stage of development. The family deeply values responsive caregiving and a consistent nap routine (in her crib, not in-carrier), and they're looking for someone who can help foster independence and comfort in those routines.

Position Details

  • Location: Manoa, Oʻahu
  • Child: 7 months, daughter
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Schedule:
  • 8:30 AM–4:30 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (with some flexibility to shift to Mondays or Fridays as needed)
  • One Saturday morning/month (with advance notice)

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving care for one infant
  • Support developmentally appropriate play and interaction
  • Follow nap and feeding routines (crib naps prioritized)
  • Communicate daily recaps and flag any concerns
  • Collaborate with parents as needed (especially during transitions)
  • Handle child-related tasks including:

  • Bottle cleaning

  • Baby laundry

  • Tidying child's space

Ideal Candidate

  • Calm, patient, and confident in caring for infants
  • Experienced with age-appropriate routines, especially around sleep training and nap transitions
  • Respectful of household preferences (crib sleep, gentle soothing)
  • A proactive communicator who can give end-of-day updates
  • Comfortable with a work-from-home parent in the house
  • Professional, punctual, and reliable
  • Open to light baby-related tasks, such as:
  • Bottle prep & washing
  • Baby laundry
  • Tidying play areas and nursery

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $25/hr

Benefits Include:

  • W2 employment with tax withholding
  • Health benefits, workers' compensation, unemployment benefits
  • Expense reimbursement

Required:

  • 3+ years of professional childcare experience
  • Infant experience, particularly with ages 0–6 months
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Already resides on O'ahu
