VCA University Animal Hospital is a growing 3-doctor General Practice wellness hospital nestled in the heart of Manoa Valley, a beautiful bedroom community on the outskirts of Honolulu, Hawaii. We are able to offer any new team member a strong medical bench of experience and support from our doctors and staff.

We are looking for an amazing individual who is excited to work a Full-time schedule with a wonderful and supportive team that strives to provide quality wellness medical care to some pretty amazing pets The schedule includes a 4-day work week and we are closed for major holidays We are open from 8a to 7p, 7 days/week, except for VCA-observed holidays.

Compensation: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience

Compensation for Credentialed Veterinary Technicians: $25.00 per hour

• To be eligible, must have a current veterinary technician license in the state of Hawaii or eligible to transfer/obtain a license in Hawaii.

As a member of the VCA University team, you will support the Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Assisting our wonderful Doctor staff as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
