Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the day-to-day HR operations for Imagine Schools Riverside County (ISRC), with a focus on employee onboarding, credentialing, compliance, data management, and customer service. This position works closely with the Director of Human Resources, school administrators, and staff to ensure consistent and accurate implementation of HR processes. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who wants to grow in the HR field while making a meaningful impact in education.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Recruitment Support
- Coordinate the onboarding process for all new hires, including background checks, TB clearance, and mandatory training.
- Maintain accurate and complete personnel files.
- Support posting, screening, and scheduling interviews for school and regional positions.
HR Compliance & Credentialing
- Track and maintain employee certifications and permits; send reminders and assist staff with renewals.
- Support in compliance, including Mandated Reporter, Title IX, harassment training, and employee handbook acknowledgments.
- Assist with audits and reporting related to HR compliance requirements.
Employee Relations & Support
- Provide responsive and confidential support to employees and administrators regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Assist with leave administration (FMLA/CFRA/PDL) under the direction of the HR Director.
- Help foster a positive, professional, service-oriented HR culture.
HR Systems & Recordkeeping
- Maintain HRIS records and ensure accurate entry of employee information.
- Track attendance, evaluations, and required annual trainings.
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets as requested.
General HR & Administrative Support
- Assist with HR-driven professional development sessions and staff trainings.
- Support payroll processing by ensuring timely submission of documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of HR and school operations.
- May at times perform other duties in support of ISRC needs and goals as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least one (1) year of HR experience, preferably in K–12 education, nonprofit, or public sector settings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in charter schools, K–12 education, or public agencies.
- Knowledge of California labor laws, credentialing, and HR compliance requirements.
- Spanish-speaking skills.
- Familiarity with LiveScan, TB documentation, and Title IX compliance processes.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment at the school site or regional office.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and communicate effectively in person and by phone.
- Occasional travel to regional campuses may be required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate: $22–$30 per hour, based on experience.
