Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Roofing Manager to oversee all aspects of roofing projects from planning to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction knowledge, and a thorough understanding of roofing systems. This role involves managing teams, coordinating with clients and suppliers, and ensuring projects meet quality standards, safety regulations, and deadlines. The Roofing Manager will play a critical role in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence in roofing services across various types of construction projects.
Duties
- Lead and supervise roofing crews on multiple projects, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are strictly followed.
- Develop detailed construction estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to roofing systems and other construction elements such as stucco, masonry, or framing.
- Coordinate procurement of materials including hand tools, power tools, caulking supplies, and fabrication components.
- Oversee the installation of roofing systems using appropriate techniques for different materials (e.g., metal stud framing, tile laying, restoration).
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and safety compliance on construction sites.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide expert advice on roofing solutions.
- Train and mentor team members in the proper use of tools such as hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry tools.
- Ensure heavy lifting procedures are followed safely during material handling and installation processes.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction estimating and project management within the roofing industry.
- Proficiency with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings across various construction disciplines including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and remodeling.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems as well as related skills such as caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, metal stud framing, concrete forming, fabrication, welding, tile laying, restoration work, and maintenance person experience.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on construction sites.
- Experience with heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures on large-scale projects.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to coordinate multiple teams across different projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, suppliers, and team members.
