POSITION SUMMARY

The E-commerce Manager oversees the optimization of the Brand website to enhance conversion rates and elevate customer satisfaction through an enhanced shopping experience. Collaborating closely with various departments including brand merchandising, inventory control, technology groups, and creative services, the E-commerce Manager is responsible for ensuring a seamless online consumer journey. This role involves managing all aspects of online store functionalities, from product asset management to site tool functionality and overall brand representation. Additionally, the E-commerce Manager will lead and mentor a team of assistants responsible for site production.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor website performance in real-time and analyze web demand by product and category to adjust the e-merchandising plan accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Inventory Control, and Creative Services to develop brand-centric emails, homepage displays, department landing pages, and editorials to promote key products, trends, and themes in alignment with business objectives.
  • Utilize data analysis and usability tests to make recommendations for enhancing site usability and optimizing the customer experience to boost conversion rates.
  • Work closely with the online technology team to define functional requirements for development and conduct User Acceptance Testing.
  • Lead a team of ecommerce/e-merchandising assistants in managing site products and content, including item configuration, copywriting, image editing, keyword optimization, cross-selling, and scheduled site refreshes.
  • Conduct external analysis of industry trends in online merchandising, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences through both primary and secondary research methods.
  • Participate in Merchandise Planning and competitive review meetings to gain insights into brand positioning and translate them into strategies for optimizing website performance.
  • Identify business opportunities and risks by analyzing sales data and marketplace trends.
  • Coordinate content-related SEO efforts for the brand.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce with a comprehensive understanding of online retailing.
  • Proficient in analytics and computer skills.
  • Knowledgeable in web design and usability principles.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Creative thinking abilities.
