Job Title: Manufacturing Operator II

Location: St. Paul, MN

Employment Type: Contract (12 Months, with Potential for Extension or Permanency)

Pay Rate: $19.90 per hour

Schedule: 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday – Friday)

Pay Structure: Non-Exempt (Overtime paid at time and a half for hours over 40)

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking a Manufacturing Operator II to support the production of high-quality cardiovascular medical devices. This role is hands-on and involves assembly, testing, and packaging within a manufacturing cell. Operators will work with precision tools, microscopes, and specialized equipment in a cleanroom environment while ensuring strict compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble medical devices and related components using documented procedures.
  • Operate equipment for electronic assembly, casting/coating, mechanical assembly, and packaging.
  • Use microscopes, syringes, adhesives, razor blades, soldering, and other hand tools for precision work.
  • Perform visual inspections and precision measurements on components and finished assemblies.
  • Test units using computerized test equipment.
  • Repair and correct devices/components under microscope using appropriate tools.
  • Package products while ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure product traceability and compliance.
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Dispose of hazardous waste properly per company guidelines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and use protective equipment appropriately.
  • Notify supervisors of material shortages or production difficulties.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Support performance goals and metrics set by manufacturing leadership.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow English written instructions at a 6th-grade level.
  • Basic math proficiency (6th-grade level).
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English.
  • Manual dexterity to handle and maneuver small components.
  • Familiarity with electronic data collection systems and computer applications.
  • Strong decision-making and prioritization skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom environments.
  • Background in soldering, adhesive bonding, or electronic assembly.

Work Environment

  • 100% onsite in St. Paul, MN.
  • Controlled cleanroom environment in designated areas.
