, one of the largest and effective nonprofits working to end homelessness in the Bay Area is seeking a
Temporary Recruiter
to help cover a planned leave of absence.

Position Summary:
The Recruiter will interact closely with hiring managers, directors, and the HR team to implement staffing strategies.  The Recruiter manages the recruiting cycle, including understanding job requirements, posting ads, sourcing for prospective candidates, screening resumes, conducting pre-screens, managing interview schedules and partnership and support of the HR team.

How You Make An Impact

  • Partner with hiring managers to develop and execute hiring strategies.
  • Create high quality candidate experience.
  • Manage and drive the full recruitment process from initial outreach to offer.
  • Seek opportunities to improve current processes and implement beneficial changes.
  • Schedule a high volume of phone, onsite and video interviews with hiring managers.
  • Manage the candidate flow through the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Manage recruitment platforms.
  • Identify prospects through strong research by using sourcing platforms and targeted networking.
  • Conduct verbal and written contingent job offers.
  • Screen and interview candidates.
  • Conduct background checks.
  • Manage employee referral program.
  • Coordinate the intern program.
  • Attend Career fairs.
  • Manage partner relationships.

HR Support-as Assigned

  • Provide back-up to new-hire orientations, on-boarding and off-boarding as needed.
  • Provide back-up to processing employee status changes.
  • Prepare reports as requested.
  • Bilingual language support for Spanish-speaking employees for recruiting, onboarding, and other HR initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

How You Meet Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through social media, networking, and partner relationships.
  • Use of personal vehicle and proof of valid California Driver's License and current auto insurance, along with a clean DMV record, is required

  • Intermediate to advanced skills using HRIS/Applicant Tracking System.

  • Knowledge of recruiting best practices.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office, programs, systems, and platforms.
  • Ability to learn and use required mobile devices and business-related applications.
  • Outstanding communication skills and high degree of emotional intelligence, cultural humility, with a proven track record to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contacts.

Physical Requirements

  • Communicating with others to exchange information; seeing to read a variety of materials.
  • Manual dexterity for use of keyboard, tools, controls; repetitive motion that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods, while at a desk or working on a computer.
  • Ability to drive and sit in a car for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to move between floors, ascending and descending stairs.
  • Light work that may include moving or lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to squat, bend at the waist, crouch, reach overhead and horizontally, and kneel.
