Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Store Manager to lead our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that the store meets its sales goals while maintaining high standards of merchandising and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, cash handling, and bookkeeping.
  • Conduct employee orientation, training, and development programs to enhance team performance.
  • Manage recruiting processes including interviewing and hiring new staff members.
  • Ensure effective merchandising strategies are implemented to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and oversee purchasing decisions to optimize stock levels.
  • Implement effective shift management practices to ensure smooth store operations.
  • Monitor retail math calculations for pricing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and team management.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager in a similar environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Experience with payroll processing and administrative tasks.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and retail math principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to train, develop, and supervise staff effectively.
