Job Description Summary
The VP, Strategic Finance provides strategic recommendations to executive leadership by translating complex financial data into actionable insights for the business. The role manages all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and forecasting to align with the company's overall mission of delivering cost-effective, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
- Strategic financial leadership: Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute long-term financial strategies and initiatives, including business development, expansion into new markets, and changes to payment models.
- Financial planning and analysis (FP&A): Direct all financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, multi-year forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
- Performance reporting and analytics: Oversee the creation of financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide insights to senior leadership, the board, and investors.
- Business partnership: Collaborate with operational and clinical leaders to provide data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and overall financial health.
- Investment strategy: Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives by developing complex financial models and conducting due diligence.
- Capital management: Lead cash flow management, liquidity, and capital allocation strategies to maximize returns and support growth initiatives.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements and industry regulations, which are crucial in the healthcare and managed care industry.
- Team leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
Essential qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is often preferred.
- Experience: Typically requires 10–15 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with a significant portion in a senior leadership role. Experience within the healthcare industry, particularly in value-based care or managed care, is often a requirement.
- Strategic capabilities: Ability to think strategically, forecast market dynamics, and translate business strategy into financial plans.
- Analytical skills: Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey financial insights to various stakeholders, including executive leadership, boards, and investors.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Systems knowledge: Proficiency in financial software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and business intelligence tools.
Compensation: $192,000K – $240,000K & bonus eligible
