We are looking for a dynamic Accountant to join our fast-growing team to work with multiple clients providing fractional accounting services. You will partner with both client and ScaleUp personnel to support a broad range of industries to help clients succeed in their goals and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with multiple clients and accounting staff to ensure accounting functions are completed in the desired timelines
  • Perform accounting functions including invoicing, record cash receipts, follow-up on accounts receivable, process accounts payable, record transactions and process payroll in accordance with client timeline expectations
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Adhere to accounting processes and policies
  • Prepare various ad-hoc reports as required by client
  • Prepare tax support schedules and support filings as needed
  • Set-up and maintain state registrations and filings as may be required for sales tax or payroll purposed
  • Assist with month-end close
  • Maintain proper support files
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associates in accounting or relevant experience as a bookkeeper/accountant
  • 5 years minimum working as a bookkeeper or 3 years as an accountant
  • Knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting
  • Preferred experience working in a client facing, billable hour environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritize and work across different teams
  • Advanced working knowledge of QBO and Excel is required.
    Workday payroll is required.
    Preferred experience working with , Asana, Google Suite and Gusto. Ability to learn and use new software systems
  • Demonstrated organization and project management experience
  • Candidates must reside in Colorado, Arizona, Tennessee, Texas or Washington

This role will start as a part-time position of 20-30 hours a week that can grow into a full-time position of approximately 35 hours a week, if you desire full-time hours.

Compensation

You will be compensated on an hourly basis of $50 per hour. This can be either a W-2 or 1099 position. We have a full set of benefits for full-time employees working more than 25 hours a week including health, dental, medical, 401k, paid holidays and a bonus plan. We work with you to establish the targeted hours you want to work and align you with the right clients to meet your objectives.
