Fractional CFO ConsultantRGP is seeking a fractional CFO consultant to partner with the CEO and executive leadership team during a period of transition and momentum. The fractional leader will provide high-level financial strategy, operational finance oversight, FP&A leadership, risk and controls governance, and PE-style rigor.Financial Leadership & StrategyServe as the executive financial partner to the CEO and board/PE sponsor, shaping financial strategy during a CFO transition period. Drive long-range financial planning, scenario modeling, and cash-flow optimization for a business with strong EBITDA and significant operational throughput. Evaluate strategic growth opportunities, including automation investments, supply-chain capacity, marketplace margin optimization, and pricing strategies. Provide input into a compensation plan aligned with sustained growth, performance accountability, and value creation.FP&A ExcellenceOversee FP&A teams including Sr. Director of FP&A to elevate forecasting cadence, accuracy, data governance, and predictive analytics. Strengthen financial reporting and KPI visibility across ecommerce, marketplace, and distribution center operations. Establish consistent unit economics modeling and cost-to-serve frameworks across 6 processing facilities.Accounting, Controls & ComplianceProvide oversight of the Comptroller, Accounting Leads, and a 16-person accounting & finance org. Ensure timely, accurate monthly close processes and external reporting. Advance internal controls, risk management, and audit readiness consistent with a PE-backed scaling company. Improve working-capital processes, inventory accounting, and cost allocation models.Operational Finance & Automation InsightsPartner with operations on throughput, labor productivity metrics, fulfillment center investments, and logistics optimization. Support financial evaluation of automation initiatives across scanning, grading, sorting, and distribution. Enhance data connectivity and visibility across multiple systems (Intacct, Planful, Snowflake, BI tools).Change Leadership & CFO TransitionProvide stability and strategic continuity as the current CFO retires; ensure clean knowledge transfer and no disruption to financial operations. Build trust with a tenured leadership team and PE sponsor; contribute to executive-level decision-making with clarity, speed, and rigor.CPA strongly preferred. 1015+ years progressive finance leadership experience, including CFO, VP Finance, or senior FP&A roles. Experience in PE-backed, high-growth, or operationally complex companies. Proven success leading FP&A, accounting, and comptrollership teams. Strong comfort with ecommerce or multi-node distribution/logistics environments. Mastery of financial modeling, unit economics, pricing analysis, cash management, and KPI development. Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a lean finance environment.PreferredExperience systems: Sage Intacct, Planful, Mode, Power BI, Snowflake, Bill. Paycom. Background in ecommerce, marketplace retail, high-volume fulfillment, or data-driven consumer businesses. Experience guiding executive teams through compensation redesign or performance-based incentive plans. Ability to mentor and elevate a growing finance organization.Location & Work ExpectationsBased in Seattle; hybrid structure with MondayFriday onsite availability and the expectation of 3 days per week in office (flexible). Commitment level tailored to needs before and after CFO retirement transition. Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite. Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors. Pay Range: $200-250hr.
