We are seeking an Entry-Level Bridge Engineer to join our growing Transportation/Structural team in New England. This role is ideal for a motivated early-career engineer who is interested in bridge design, inspection, and rehabilitation projects and is eager to build a strong technical foundation while working alongside experienced bridge engineers.
You will support a variety of state and local transportation projects, gaining hands-on experience with bridge analysis, design, and plan development while developing proficiency in industry-standard software and design codes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the analysis and design of highway and pedestrian bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures
- Support bridge rehabilitation, replacement, and inspection projects
- Prepare design calculations, technical memoranda, and construction documents
- Develop plans and details using AutoCAD and MicroStation/OpenBridge
- Perform structural modeling and analysis under the guidance of senior engineers
- Coordinate with project team members and assist with quality control reviews
- Learn and apply applicable AASHTO, state DOT, and industry design standards
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred)
- 0–2 years of relevant structural or bridge engineering experience (internships/co-op experience will be considered)
- Strong interest in bridge and transportation structures
- Familiarity with engineering software such as:
- AutoCAD
- MicroStation / OpenBridge
- LEAP Steel and/or LEAP Concrete
- BrR / BrD
- MIDAS (or similar structural analysis software)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skill
