Join a leading U.S. manufacturer of advanced heating systems and combustion controls used across North America. Known for precision engineering and dependable performance, this team combines innovation, safety, and craftsmanship to power the next generation of energy-efficient solutions.Own payroll and benefits end-to-end in a multi-state environment. You'll run accurate, compliant pay cycles in Paycor, keep deductions and plans clean, and stay on top of changing labor, tax, and leave laws (including the new overtime rules).
What you'll do:
- Run weekly/biweekly payroll in Paycor; audit time, pay codes, and accruals
- Configure earnings/deductions/benefits, overtime, and state/local tax settings
- Implement changes for overtime/min-wage/final-pay requirements
- Administer garnishments, child support, wage assignments, and loan repayments
- Manage 401(k): eligibility, enrollments, deferrals, loans, funding files
- Oversee medical/dental/vision/life/STD/LTD and state/federal leave (FMLA, CTPL); ensure correct deductions
- Lead open enrollment/QLEs; coordinate carrier feeds; resolve billing issues
- Ensure ACA/ERISA/COBRA compliance; prepare 1095/1094 and census files
- Handle payroll tax regs/rates/filings/deposits; close quarter/year-end (W-2/W-3)
- Produce GL postings/recons; support internal/external audits; document SOPs
What you'll bring:
- 3+ years hands-on multi-state payroll & benefits
- Strong wage & hour/leave law knowledge; lawful deductions expertise
- Payroll tax depth (registrations, rates, filings, deposits, Q/Y-end)
- Proficient in Paycor (or ADP/Paylocity/Paycom); strong reporting/configuration
- Audit mindset, data integrity, hit deadlines; discreet communicator
- AS/BS in Accounting/HR preferred
- Bilingual, Spanish/English
