Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate bearing systems and related mechanical assemblies for robotic joints and actuators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, controls, and manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration of bearing components.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement design improvements to enhance bearing life and reduce friction or noise.
  • Develop and execute testing protocols to assess bearing performance under dynamic loads and environmental conditions.
  • Use CAD and simulation tools (e.g., Creo, BearinX) for modeling, stress analysis, and tolerance optimization.
  • Source, evaluate, and qualify bearing suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Document engineering specifications, test reports, and design validation results.
  • Support prototype builds and production transitions with hands-on testing and troubleshooting.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably focused on bearings or rotating systems
  • Strong understanding of bearing mechanics, tribology, and materials science.
  • Proficiency in CAD design and mechanical simulation software.
  • Experience with precision tolerancing, GD&T, and mechanical stack-up analysis.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems, automation equipment, or motion control applications preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
