We are currently seeking a Manager, Legal Contracts, to join our team in Richmond, VA. or we are open to remote work arrangements.
What you'll be doing:
- Prepare, negotiate, and finalize commercial agreements with outside vendors and suppliers, with support from in-house counsel.
- Track contracts through the contracting process and maintain accounts of contract status.
- Perform as the lead project manager on international and other major contracting projects.
- Review commercial agreements provided by outside vendors and suppliers and incorporate corporate policies and contract requirements into those agreements.
- Provide day-to-day legal support for the Procurement organization and advise on issues that arise with third-party suppliers.
- Clearly explain agreement terminology to the Procurement organization and other interested parties in simple, everyday language.
- Train the Procurement organization and business professionals on agreement terms and negotiating tactics and processes.
- Manage outside counsel review, as needed, and serve as a liaison between outside counsel and the Procurement organization.
We want you to have:
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of legal or paralegal experience, preferably working directly in contract law and in contract preparation and negotiation.
- Knowledge of current contractual language and terminology.
- Ability to manage fast-paced workload independently and demonstrate strong leadership potential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a strong mastery of the English language.
- Clear adherence to company policies and Procurement procedures.
- Strong organization and project management skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of contract negotiation strategies and best practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of project management and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software and tools.
- Willingness to assume additional responsibilities and commitment to personal and professional growth.
The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $116, $168,400.00.
