About the company & role

An established brand in the Aerospace and Defence sector is currently seeking a Senior Contracts Specialist to join the business. The role is intended to take on an extremely broad remit supporting all US business units for the company with their commercial and predominantly governmental contracts.

Reporting into the Contracts Manager, with support from the General Counsel and others in the Legal & Compliance function, the role will work closely with all departments across the group taking lead on the entire contract lifecycle.

Responsibilities will likely include:

  • Identifying and managing/resolving contractual issues, disputes and dealing with complex enquiries.
  • Review and negotiate US Government contracts notably covered by FAR and DFARs regulations.
  • Maintain certifications in SAM Database and respond to certification requests.
  • Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders on contractual matters.
  • Supporting on Subcontracts and procurement negotiations.

What's on offer?

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an established brand that is currently experiencing significant expansion and growth within the US. Many parts of this role will have space to be defined and delivered by the post-holder and this opportunity is ideal for those looking for the challenge of working in a "start-up" environment with the solid backing and growth trajectory of an established player.

The position can be based in Arlington VA, Bedford NH, or Norcross GA, with minimal domestic travel. Hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered for suitable candidates outside these areas. The estimated compensation range is $100,000–$120,000, plus bonus (DOE).

About you

It is likely you will have at least 3-6 years of US Government contracts experience and good working knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations and a variety of contract types.
The right candidate will have previous experience working in the defence industry.

The role will suit someone who wants to take initiative (with support from the wider legal team) and is happy managing contractual issues while supporting a wide range of business units.

For this position, you must be either a US citizen or have Permanent Resident Status in the US.
