Visiting Professor

Salesforce is seeking a Visiting Professor for a one-year, part-time engagement with our SDB team. This collaboration will focus on advancing key priorities that require additional technical depth and long-term strategic guidance. The role is designed to generate concrete impact in performance and scalability across Salesforce's Core platform, with potential to evolve into a broader technical leadership capacity shaping the future of Data Cloud, AI, and Hyper . Key research areas potentially include; limitations of the Postgres design, improvements in LSM architecture, or LLVM optimizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.
• Recognized academic leadership and strong research record in database systems .
• Demonstrated ability to bridge academic research and industry application.
• Collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring or connecting world-class technical talent.
