Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Referral Coordinator to join our imaging healthcare team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between patients and medical staff, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and support throughout their healthcare journey. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with the scheduling process for imaging ordered.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records efficiently.
  • Provide support by handling phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
  • Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details with proper orders.
  • Educate patients about procedures, treatments, and prep in basic understanding.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Previous experience in medical prior authorization is a plus.
