Location: SGPS Showrig Las Vegas, on site position.
POSITIION SUMMARYThe Truss and Rigging Technician is responsible for the accurate preparation, inspection, and organization of truss and rigging equipment for rental projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure that equipment is ready for use in live event production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Accurately prepare and stage truss and rigging equipment orders for projects.
- Pull gear and verify quantities against provided pull lists, maintaining strict accuracy.
- Inspect truss and rigging equipment for damage, wear, or irregularities, and promptly report findings to the Truss and Rigging Supervisor.
- Perform basic touchup painting and cleaning of equipment to maintain quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Supervisor to prioritize and organize orders based on project timelines.
- Check equipment in and out of the inventory management system (RTPro) to maintain accurate tracking.
- Properly label and identify equipment for easy identification during project setup.
- Adhere to company and industrystandard safety protocols while handling, moving, and preparing truss and rigging equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
- Previous experience in truss and rigging preparation or related warehouse/production roles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when pulling, staging, and inspecting gear.
- Ability to perform minor touchup paint and equipment maintenance tasks.
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (such as RTPro) preferred.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tight project timelines.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry 5075 pounds of truss and rigging equipment safely.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights if required.
- Manual dexterity and handeye coordination sufficient to handle tools, paint, and equipment.
- Must be able to work in warehouse and production environments that may include exposure to varying noise levels, dust, and changing temperatures.
- Use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
