About the Role

A government agency is seeking an IT Product Financial Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, and cost analysis for technology and security-related products. This role focuses on driving financial accuracy, optimizing budgets, and supporting investment decisions for IT initiatives. The position is ideal for a junior-level professional with a strong finance or accounting foundation who is eager to learn about technology-focused financial management.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct financial analysis and forecasting for IT and security-related products.

Build and maintain budgeting models to manage technology and service costs.

Partner with internal teams including security, procurement, and compliance to align spending with strategic objectives.

Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.

Support vendor negotiations and procurement decisions with financial data.

Examine lifecycle costs and ROI for new product investments.

Prepare financial reports and presentations for leadership review.

Assist in improving internal budgeting and financial tracking processes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

Minimum 2 years of experience in budgeting, financial modeling, cost analysis, and forecasting.

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to manage priorities and function efficiently within cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with state or public-sector budgeting processes.

General understanding of IT and cybersecurity product cost structures.

Experience supporting financial activities in an enterprise or government environment.

Additional Information

This hybrid role requires onsite presence 3 days per week. Parking is provided free of cost. The hiring team is open to candidates with foundational finance skills and a willingness to learn IT-related financial processes through structured training.
