The Shipping Clerk position is responsible for preparation and shipment of all outgoing product. Enters equipment information into appropriate management information systems/records and performs shipping functions for the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Issues materials to work orders.
  • Validates shipping contracts with SAP to ensure correct/complete.
  • Prepares and continually updates shipping and receiving reports.
  • Compares identifying information and counts.
  • Measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against contracts, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Matches certification with shippers and ensures that equipment and accessories are in order with the shipper.
  • Ensures incoming and outgoing shippers are complete, accurate, and legible, and placed with the appropriate customer(s) equipment at all times.
  • Schedules and tracks all material processing required for the machine shop.
  • Strives for continued improvement
  • Acts as a liaison between the shipping and sales departments.
  • Operates and uses all equipment following standard work instructions and operating procedures.
  • Observes all safety rules and regulations.
  • Exercises care and good judgment at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules, and BRG Code of Conduct.
  • Practices good housekeeping by keeping work area, neighboring areas, and aisles clean and accessible.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

SKILLS

  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • 2-3 years experience operating in SAP or WMS system equivalent.
  • Ability to effectively relate with others and cooperate as a team member.
  • Ability to perform essential functions and responsibilities of the job with some supervision.
  • Must be flexible.
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations within the organization.
  • Ability to rely on judgment for personal safety regarding work.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds at a time.
  • Sufficient hand, eye, arm, and finger dexterity.
  • Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking while also performing repetitive tasks.
  • Prolonged periods of bending and/or twisting throughout a work shift.
