Aquila Protective Services is growing rapidly and seeking out qualified candidates to work at locations throughout the Denver are as Community Protection Specialists. As a CPS, you will be working closely with law enforcement, at risk communities and in very active positions to provide protection to those within the facilities. Working in groups of 2-4 Specialists, you will be providing valuable services to the community while gaining excellent experience. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply. We currently have shifts available seven days per week for day, swing and grave positions- apply early for the best shift availability

Those apply for this position should have a strong background in security, law enforcement and/or military with a relevant MOS.

Our expectations of you:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain a security license with the City and County of Denver (we will assist with all relevant training required)
  • Currently available for Full-Time employees
  • In addition to this position, we currently have gained several new exciting accounts in the area and as a result, have all positions available (day, swing and grave)
  • We desire candidates who know and understand what "five star customer service" is and how to practice it to ensure the customer is taken care of. Being customer service oriented among others is focused on being alert and aware throughout the shift and answering community members questions while being polite, respectful and considerate.
  • Bilingual applicants are highly encouraged

Duties of the position:

  • Responsible for foot patrol duties working within the designated zone
  • Response timely to calls for service on assigned properties
  • Have a strong customer service attitude
  • Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic
  • Required to stay current with all training and certifications
  • Always have a mindset of safety
  • Strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal and written communication.

  • Pay ranges from $20.00 per hour for Tier I CSP to $27.00 per hour for Tier III CSP Supervisors, based on your experience level.

Additional information:

  • Unarmed Security License Required (we can assist with if needed)
  • Must be mentally alert and capable of making decision in accordance with rules, regulations and policies of the location at which they are working, as well as that of the company
  • Must be able to observe behaviors, record and report details thoroughly and accurately according to the requirements of the job
  • Must be able to remain in a standing or sitting position for extended periods of time and be able to travel on foot across rough, uneven surfaces
  • Must be computer literate, able to read, interpret, and implement written instructions/Post Orders, understand and follow oral instructions, and act in accordance with specialized training and requirements.
  • Must be physically capable of performing foot patrols at minimum once per hour and remaining vigilant and active while on duty
  • Must maintain a level of physical fitness necessary to climb stairs and lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be fluent in English and able to communicate with the general public in a face-to-face setting by telephone/smartphone. Fluency in Spanish is desired.
