    Brief Job Description:  The Indigenous High School Indigenous Education Advisor provides tutoring and support services for students in grades 7-12 who are in the Indigenous Education program.  Serves as a cultural liaison for students in special education.  Maintains contact with teachers for student assignments, progress and concerns.  Serves as a liaison between students, families and schools.  Assists with parent involvement and family special events.  Work is performed under the supervision of the Indigenous Education Director and principal.

    Education and Experience:  Minimum of an Associates of Arts degree required, preferably with experience working with American Indigenous families.  College degree is highly desirable.

    Special Requirements:  Knowledge of the unique educational and culturally related academic needs of American Indigenous students.
