Overview

Eagle Construction, a leading insurance restoration contractor, is seeking an experienced large loss estimator to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for inspecting large fire, water and structure damage losses, preparing detailed estimates utilizing Xactimate estimating software, and ensuring open and detailed commuincation with homeowners and adjusters. Your keen analytical skills and construction knowledge will help drive efficiency and profitability while maintaining high standards of quality.

What you'll do

  • Inspect new losses to prepare detailed, room by room estimates.
  • Utilize Xacimate estimating platform for production and upload of estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for pricing.
  • Communicate both orally and in writing with adjusters and carrier estimate review to explain necessary procedures and estimate costs.
  • Monitor construction costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
  • Work with project managers throughout projects to process changes or supplemental estimates as necessary.
  • Provide ongoing support in construction management by participating in site visits and assessments.
  • Prepare detailed reports that summarize findings, estimates, and recommendations.

Mandatory qualifications

  • Proven experience in insurance restoration estimating or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and process to rebuild.
  • Must be proficient in Xactimate estimating software.
