For 17 years, Cram Fashion has been a trusted men's boutique in the Lakeview neighborhood. We are now seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL. This full-time role offers a base salary of $50,000 – $80,000/year with performance-based pay, as well as benefits. This includes:

The Retail Assistant Manager position is a full-time, onsite role at our Chicago boutique. Store hours are 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM, seven days a week, and the schedule will include both weekdays and weekends. Flexibility is important as business needs and customer traffic vary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of retail management or assistant manager experience preferred
  • Sales and customer-facing experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for fashion retail and delivering excellent service
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and store operations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RETAIL ASSISTANT MANAGER

In this role, you will support the Store Manager with daily operations while also stepping into leadership when needed. Each day will include ensuring visual merchandising standards are maintained, supervising store opening and closing, and overseeing cash handling and scheduling. You will work closely with sales associates, assisting in hiring, training, and coaching to strengthen the team. You will also focus on driving sales performance, meeting store goals, and handling customer service needs with professionalism. Additionally, you will take part in inventory control, stock replenishment, and buying trips that help keep the boutique's selection fresh and aligned with Cram Fashion's identity.
