Washington, Washington, D.C., United States Peraton Full time $135,000 - $216,000
Responsibilities

Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA's Business, National Airspace, and Technical Computing Services (BNATCS) contract. As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton helps deliver the systems and services that keep our nation's skies safe and connected.

We're looking for innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about shaping the future of air traffic management. This is your chance to make an impact on one of the world's most vital transportation infrastructures, working alongside leaders in aviation, engineering, data science, and systems integration.

At Peraton, you won't just support the mission — you'll define it.

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Master Scheduler Advisor to provide strategic leadership in the planning, integration, and execution of complex FAA programs. In this high-visibility role, you will serve as the central authority on Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), ensuring that program activities are synchronized across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, material control, quality, and subcontractor teams. Your expertise will be pivotal in aligning program execution with contractual requirements, enabling proactive risk management, supporting Earned Value Management (EVM), and driving successful program outcomes.

This is an opportunity to shape mission-critical initiatives that will modernize national aviation infrastructure, strengthen safety and reliability, and prepare the FAA for the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, integration, and maintenance of program-level IMS in alignment with program Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), contractual milestones, and FAA objectives.

  • Provide strategic oversight of scheduling activities across multiple functional teams, geographically dispersed sites, and subcontractors—ensuring accuracy, transparency, and accountability.

  • Identify risks, critical paths, and resource conflicts early, and drive mitigation strategies that keep programs on track.

  • Partner with executive leadership, FAA stakeholders, engineering, and functional organizations to provide actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making.

  • Ensure schedules are fully integrated with Earned Value Management (EVM) systems, performance reporting, and compliance with all contractual deliverables (CDRLs).

  • Drive schedule analysis and reporting in support of major program reviews (PDR, CDR, SRR, TRR) and other high-stakes milestones.

  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior schedulers—establishing best practices, strengthening schedule discipline, and promoting a culture of operational excellence.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, communicating complex schedule challenges and solutions with clarity and confidence.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in scheduling or program management within FAA, aerospace, or defense programs.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS), Earned Value Management (EVM), and critical path analysis.

  • Advanced proficiency with industry-standard scheduling tools, including Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.

  • Strong knowledge of FAA NAS programs, aviation systems development, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence program direction and decision-making.

  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing schedules for complex, multi-site, and multi-contractor programs.

  • Ability to translate schedule analysis into actionable, strategic recommendations.

  • Background in mentoring junior team members and implementing scheduling best practices across organizations.
