The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Allendale seeking experienced Automation Engineers. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement industrial automation solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and robotics. Program, configure, and troubleshoot industrial control systems, including SCADA and DCS. Optimize manufacturing processes through automation to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput. Conduct testing, commissioning, and validation of new automation equipment and integrated systems. Provide expert technical support and training for automation systems to production and maintenance teams. Ensure all automation solutions comply with safety standards, quality regulations, and industry best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and integrate new technologies. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens), SCADA, and HMI development. Experience with industrial robotics, motion control systems, and machine vision. Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA). Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex automation system issues. Familiarity with programming languages like Python or C# for data acquisition and system integration. Bonus Qualifications Experience with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence). Familiarity with MES/MOM system integration and data exchange. Exposure to industrial data historians and analytics platforms (e.g., OSIsoft PI, Ignition). Understanding of cybersecurity principles for Operational Technology (OT) environments. Proficiency with automation simulation software (e.g., Process Simulate, RoboDK).
