The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Battle Creek region seeking Industrial Electricians. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Install, commission, and modify new electrical equipment, wiring, and control systems. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical components to minimize downtime. Diagnose electrical malfunctions using multimeters, circuit tracers, and other testing devices. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Adhere strictly to electrical codes, safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E), and company policies. Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and HMI systems. Recommended Qualifications Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent industrial electrical certification. 3-5+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing industrial control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and motor controls. Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E safety standards. Experience with power distribution systems, three-phase motors, and preventive maintenance programs. Bonus Qualifications Experience with industrial automation and robotics systems. Advanced troubleshooting or programming proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) from various manufacturers. Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus TCP). Experience with instrumentation, calibration, and process control systems. Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with minor fabrication for electrical installations.
