Key Responsibilities Perform machine setups and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications. Install and adjust tooling, dies, and fixtures for various production runs. Calibrate and fine-tune equipment parameters to ensure optimal performance and product quality. Conduct first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards. Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues and minor machine malfunctions. Document setup procedures, parameters, and any encountered issues accurately. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience (2+ years) as a Setup Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers). Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve machine setup and operational issues. Understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and quality control standards. Bonus Qualifications Experience with PLC programming or basic automation troubleshooting. Proficiency in CAD software for fixture design or advanced blueprint interpretation. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) or continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to perform minor machine maintenance or preventative maintenance tasks.
