Part-Time / On-Call: Rescue Technician Location: La Porte, TX Total Safety is looking for a Rescue Technician to join our safety-first team This is a part-time, on-call/standby position supporting various customer projects. You’ll play a critical role in confined space and technical rope rescue, first aid, and CPR, ensuring that safe working practices are followed at all times. What You’ll Do:Provide technical rescue standby for customer projects.Assess risks, ready rescue equipment, and plan safe and practical solutions.Draft Confined Space Rescue Preplans and Rescue Safety Analyses (RSA).Identify hazards, communicate them to all affected parties, and implement controls.Monitor air quality and recommend hazard controls or PPE as needed.Conduct daily job briefings and ongoing monitoring of job conditions and equipment.Complete Incident Command System (ICS) reports daily.In case of accident: locate the patient, assess injuries, extricate safely, and hand over to EMS.Render first aid and CPR according to training level.Inspect, clean, and maintain all rescue equipment to ensure readiness.Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of all rescue gear.Assist with special projects as assigned. What We’re Looking For:40 Hour Rescue Technician with >6 months experience.Confined Space Entrant/Attendant Certification.CPR & First Aid with AED.First Responder or higher preferred.Haz-Whopper and 4 Gas Monitor Operation Training.Knowledge of OSHA Atmosphere Limitation.Proven proficiency in rescue operations and safety procedures.Ability to inspect, clean, and maintain rescue equipment in a constant state of readiness.
