Join our dynamic team at the School of Nursing as a Simulation Lab Assistant and play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nurses through immersive, hands-on learning experiences.Reporting to the Director of the Simulation Lab, the Simulation Lab Assistant supports the daily operations of the lab, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment for nursing students. This role involves operating high-tech simulation equipment, managing lab setups, and providing technical and administrative support to faculty and students.Key Responsibilities:Operate and maintain audiovisual and simulation equipment, including human patient simulators.Set up and break down supplies and equipment for skills labs and simulation scenarios.Assist with scheduling simulation activities and maintaining inventory.Provide technical support and training to faculty on simulation tools and equipment.Ensure lab safety standards are upheld, including needle and medication safety protocols.Perform routine maintenance and software updates on simulation equipment.What We’re Looking For:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of nursing or simulation lab equipment.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.Preferred Qualifications:One year of experience in a healthcare-related field.Experience with audiovisual or computerized simulation equipment.Certification as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant is a plus.Professional Development:Opportunities for continued education and training.Participation in the Hallmark Character program to support personal and professional growth.
