OSP Fiber Quality Control Engineer (FTTH)Location: Remote / Houston Preferred Job Type: Full-TimeAbout the Role:We are seeking an OSP Fiber Quality Control Engineer to review, validate, and approve FTTH engineering deliverables. This role ensures all designs meet AT&T FTTH standards and maintain high accuracy, constructability, and consistency across fiber design packages. The QC Engineer will review KMZs, CAD files, fiber routes, photos, and supporting documentation for quality and completeness.Responsibilities:Review FTTH fielding data, photos, notes, and route alignments for accuracy. OSP Fiber Planning experience for AT&T.Review fiber design packages, including F1/F2 routing, splitter placement, terminal locations, splice points, allocations, and overall FTTH architecture.The ideal candidate should have experience with corning guidelines, AT&T FNAP cable counts distribution standards, cables and terminals sizing, splice and tether locations, PFP location for efficient design.Validate feeder/distribution routing, terminal placement, GPON/NGPON2 design, and fiber paths for constructability and accuracy.Ensure all deliverables comply with AT&T FTTH design standards (required).Verify KMZ/KML accuracy including fiber routes, pole counts, footage totals, labeling, structure naming, and network element placement.Review CAD, KMZ, GIS outputs, and fiber design documentation for consistency, completeness, and correctness.Provide clear correction notes, track recurring quality trends, and support overall design consistency and improvement.Requirements:Strong knowledge of OSP/FTTH engineering and GPON/NGPON2 architecture.Proficiency with Aramis, Waldo, and IQGEO (required).Required experience with AT&T FTTH design standards.Skilled in Google Earth/KMZ editing, GIS tools, and QC review.Ability to interpret plats, easements, utility prints, and FTTH design documentation.High attention to detail with strong analytical skills.Preferred:Experience with Houston AT&T FTTH markets and design practices.Prior QC experience in FTTH or OSP design environments.AutoCAD certification or equivalent technical background.
