COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Rate: Fixed (Daily; OT after 10 hours; Weekly OT after 168 hours)
  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Inpatient cardiothoracic surgical cases
  • Preoperative and postoperative rounding
  • Emergent weekend surgical cases as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Active FL license required
  • Board: BC/BE in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • DEA: Active DEA Certification
  • Certifications: BLS/ACLS as applicable
  • Experience: Cardiothoracic surgery experience required
  • Other Qualifications: Ability to collaborate with APPs; telehealth not required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform inpatient cardiothoracic surgical cases
  • Conduct preoperative and postoperative rounding with APP support
  • Cosign APPcreated progress notes and consult notes; add surgeon notes as needed
  • Provide weekend rounding (approximately one weekend per month)
  • Cover emergent weekend OR cases and respond to n
