Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension)

Work Type: W2 Contractor (Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Rate: $55.00 - $60.00/hr

Responsibilities

This is a business data analyst role, not a technology position. The person in this role must have experience as a business data analyst. The role involves reviewing and understanding business requirements and deeply analyzing, slicing and dicing data to determine and document patterns and anomalies with the ability to assess whether the provided data meets the business requirements. The person must be comfortable working independently and proactively coordinating with internal business teams and data providers to seek clarification and resolution when data does not meet the business requirements.

Required Skills
  • Understanding of derivatives and/or traded products data
  • Experience as a data analyst
  • Strong analytical, problem?solving, and oral/written communication skills
  • Comfortable partnering with business, technology teams and other stakeholders to achieve goals
  • Ability to communicate findings to stakeholders and tell a story about the data from a business lens
  • Intermediate SQL skills and experience
  • Intermediate experience working with MS Office products like Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Curiosity and thoughtfulness digging into the data to find nuggets of information independently and without prompting

  • Banking and/or financial services experience
  • Past experience working with derivatives
  • Oracle database experience
  • SQL Server database experience
  • Accounting experience
  • Experience working with teams across multiple geographies
  • Financial acumen
  • Experience with Axiom Regulatory Reporting solutions
