Overview

We are looking for a positive, driven, and detail-oriented Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our growing team on our mission of being the #1 Probiotic Supplement Company in the US. This person will be responsible for managing the flow of materials to ensure timely delivery, quality, and competitive pricing. This position reports to the Sr. Supply Chain Manager.

What Youll Do
  • Work alongside contract manufacturing (CMO) partners to support production of finished products.
  • Track order acknowledgements and maintain a clean open order report to have a strong understanding of open order statuses.
  • Oversee raw material purchase orders across various suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory and forecast needs based on production schedules.
  • Monitor component defects and associated credit returns.
  • Manage and mitigate obsolescent or expiring inventory.
  • Maintain standard costing across all raw material, finished goods, and packaging materials.
  • Raw material sourcing to meet company specifications.
  • Develop, plan, and implement sourcing strategies which includes finding innovative solutions to create enhanced value and reduced risk in stockouts.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams.
Job Requirements
  • Education: A bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, finance, accounting, or a related field is often a minimum requirement.
  • Work Experience: 2-3 years experience in purchasing, procurement, or related roles.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, forecast trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate purchase orders and inventory management.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Google Sheets and Excel.
  • Self-Motivation: Highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and all levels of employees.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Ability to handle stress and meet deadlines.
