Schedule Details/Additional Information:

As a Surgical Technologist, you'll play a crucial role in the operating room. Your attention to detail, adaptability, and dedication make a difference for patients every day. We pride ourselves on our values and our reputation as a trusted healthcare provider.

Schedule/Hours: Full-time evening shift, with 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, including on-call duties primarily overnight and occasional weekends.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment for optimal patient care utilizing aseptic techniques and providing necessary supplies during surgical procedures.
  • Assist with a variety of surgical procedures while ensuring the operating room is prepared and well-equipped.
  • Ensure the operating room is properly disinfected and safe, managing equipment and supplies efficiently.
  • Function as a Second Assistant as needed and alert staff to any issues with equipment or supplies.
  • Transport patients, equipment, and supplies as required, maintaining the integrity of the surgical environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of patient care across different ages and maintain the integrity of aseptic techniques.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association must be obtained within 6 months unless otherwise specified by the department leader.

Education Required:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Experience Required:

  • No prior experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Understanding of aseptic surgical techniques and operation of various equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Must maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and perform various physical tasks within the operating room.
  • Exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and biological hazards.
  • Personal protective equipment, including masks, gloves, and gowns are required.
