What to Expect

Join us as a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer and help manufacture"the machine that builds the machine." In this role, you'll drive the development of efficient, high-quality manufacturing lines and processes for Optimus and Energy Products at our Fremont factory. From early design through full-scale production, you'll work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment to shape the future of AI robotics and energy technology.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and validate manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and processes to support early-stage prototype builds
  • Determine and procure equipment that is necessary for all manufacturing processes used to build the product
  • Work with equipment integrators to design and manufacture equipment and fixtures for medium to high-volume production
  • Manage suppliers during specification, design, buyoff and installation of manufacturing equipment
  • Perform process analysis, DOE, PFMEA, line balancing activities, and capacity modeling/simulation
  • Provide DFM (design for manufacturability) input to design team for process and yield improvements
  • Create detailed manufacturing instructions to train technicians and line operators on new processes and equipment
What You'll Bring
  • Solid experience as a hands-on Mechanical/Manufacturing/Design Engineer working on mechanical and/or electromechanical systems
  • Experience using 2D cad tools for conceptual line design (AutoCAD) and 3D design for mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling (SolidWorks or CATIA)
  • Experience with conveyance, transducer-based fastening systems (Atlas Copco preferred), robotic systems (Fanuc or Kuka preferred), adhesive dispensing, laser welding or automated functional testing
  • Experience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment
  • Experience providing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Automation (DFA)
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience

Expected Compensation $116,000 - $198,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
